Tano Megumi (Sakuma Jirou) interview
Highlights:
✿ Tano’s comments about Sakuma’s appearance: He’s become even more of an ikemen (hottie), or more rather a bijin (beauty). His hair got longer, and he lost some of his hair flick. He also got taller and looks nice in the 3-layered suit. But during the recording session, the studio hadn’t put color on any of the animation yet, so the seiyuu were all wondering what color the suit was. They were afraid it’d be white or purple, in which case he’d look like a host club guy (lol). When they found out it was a deep green, they were really relieved. It’s like the Teikoku colors! His eyepatch also became simplified without the screws.
✿ Tano also found it a bit saddening that Endou didn’t even seem to acknowledge Sakuma’s individual existence when he met up with Kidou and Teikoku. It’s as if Sakuma is just naturally there whenever Kidou is.
✿ Tano is asked about why Sakuma uses keigo (formal language) with Kidou. Tano is reminded of how in the original game, Sakuma used keigo with Kidou, so it felt like that (although Tano didn’t voice Sakuma in that game). She imagines Sakuma still uses casual speech with Kidou in private, and keigo is when the students are around.
✿ Tano acknowledges that Sakuma is pretty much “Kidou’s goldfish poop” (this interview). Tano went to complain to Kaji about it afterwards “Geez Kaji-kun!”, and Kaji replied back in a high voice “But he IS!!!” which Tano just couldn’t refute. 10 years later, Sakuma is still Kidou’s goldfish poop.
✿ Tano wants to know the full story of how Emperor Penguin 7 came to be, more specifically of how it went from 3 to 7.
✿ When Tano saw the trailer for the GO movie, she didn’t realize Fudou was in there. When someone told her about it later, she was all “Ehh?!” and she realized he still had that bad look to his eyes. She wonders what Genda’s up to, thinks that he went pro since he wouldn’t be the type to stop playing soccer so easily. Maybe in the J League.

Also, I don’t have any plans to buy PASH! November 2011 since I’ve read that there isn’t anything particularly special for Inazuma in that issue (not even a pinup, gasp XD).
